The Holloran Le Pavillon Vineyard Dundee Hills Oregon Riesling 06 received two and a half stars from SF Chronicle, who said: "More honeycomb than its sibling, plus some petrol and mineral aromas; similar flavors with crisp lemon and a stony, grippy finish. Very limited availability. "
The Holloran La Pavillon single vineyard Riesling shows off with glorious aromas of tangerine, ginger, and cantaloupe that unfold on the palate. The wine expresses great focus with mouthwatering vibrancy of fruit and delicate sweetness with refreshing acidity. Citrus and kiwi flavors give way to a clean fresh finish of burbling mountain spring water and minerals.
Jay Christopher (J Christopher Wines) makes Holloran wines at the same winery, with the same grape sources as his J Christopher bottlings. The Holloran family owns the winery and that's their deal- he makes their wines as well as his own.
