Review:

The 2011 lives up to its name, it's wildly good. Intensely aromatic forest floor, earth, and sweet black fruit set the stage for ripe black cherry, smoke and herbs - all wrapped up in a long finish. A bigger Pinot that inspires me to pull my precious wild venison out of the freezer and my Chanterelles from the pantry for a spring feast. - Avalon

2010 Vintage

Sweet dark cherry and licorice on with the nose with shavings of truffly earth. There's a burst of fresh black berry that pops in your mouth and carries the bright and jazzy finish, dancing with white pepper and dried herbs. Illahe is experimenting with new wines, like Bon Sauvage, and developing a deeper sense of their style and place. We dig it.
