Iris Vineyard Pinot noir Oregon 08
2008 Wine Spectator - 90 points - Light on its feet, showing a nice density to the orange tea‐accented red fruit flavors, all while keeping the texture airy and refreshing. Silky finish. Drink now through 2016. - H.S.
Rich and balanced Pinot, aromas of red and black cherries, strawberries, subtle scents of violets, and spicy oak and clean fresh finish. The wine is soft and smooth with a long finish.
Food Suggestions: Braised Chicken with fresh Italian herbs and black olives; Pasta tossed lightly with a slow cooked Meat sauce of Pork, Lamb & Beef; Scallopine Di Vitello Al Fughi; Seared Tuna lightly encrusted with pepper; Pork Chops grilled with tart apple, apple brandy and fresh sage.
