J. Albin Winery "Lorelle" Pinot noir 09

Review:

A cool, elegant, pure and cleanly delivered red berry fruit nose that is very pinot in style and character introduces beautifully detailed and textured middle weight flavors that are graceful and impressively well-balanced. Note that this will most please those who admire classically styled pure pinots and the absence of even a hint of back end warmth is most welcome in this age of high-powered pinots.

John Albin is full time at his own winery these days, and this is the first of the new wines coming. John was manager of winemaking and vineyard management at King Estate for many years.
