Jay Somers, winemaker for his own J Christopher Winery and for the Holloran Winery, trained with John Paul of Cameron Winery, and the association is apparent in his winemaking style. Jay's wines are sophisticated, unique, original, and quite fascinating.

Operating out of a converted barn at the Holloran's house in Lake Oswego, Jay has created particularly outstanding white wines, including a riesling and a sauvignon blanc that sell out imemediately in either their J Christopher or Holloran forms. He also makes bargain wines under a second/third label called Stafford Hill.
