Review:
"Provocateur" is French for "troublemaker." J.K. Carriere's Provocateur Pinot noir shows Jim Prosser's troublemaker style. Dark and meaty, ready to drink, this is great value Pinot. Not much made, so order quickly.
Both big and balanced, black cherry and smoke scents prime the palate for this juicy, sweet black cherry and currant fruit dominant Pinot. Generous, rich stone fruit and smoked meat notes call for a custom ground burger on an outdoor grill. It's mouth watering and satisfying, with great balance. Provocateur finishes fresh and clean, so you're ready for another glass. You'll want some for now, and more for sharing with friends. - Jean
2010 Vintage Tasting Notes
Jim's approach to the 2010 was somewhat ingenious. He blended the 2010 vintage fruit with just a small amount of his pinot from the 09 vintage. The combination results in a striking fusion of the contrasting vintages.

"The Chronicle Recommends" by the San Francisco Chronicle
San Francisco Chronicle: "Oregon native Jim Prosser found impressive tension and freshness in this early-drinking blend aged mostly in old oak. A coppery mineral accent to tannic plum skin and watermelon flavors. Remarkably well done for the money..."
