Tanzer - 94 points - Bright, deep red. Redcurrant and minerals on the nose. Concentrated, firm and intense on the palate, showing excellent grip to the blueberry, strawberry and mineral flavors. Has the tannic spine to support a graceful evolution in bottle. In fact, I wouldn't touch this for at least five years. A superb example from this warm year. - Josh Raynolds

2008 Wine Spectator - 94 points - Dense, focused like a laser, aiming its raspberry, cherry, pomegranate and star anise flavors to shine through a veil of refined tannins. Persists impressively on the expressive finish. The tannins have texture but not weight, and the finish goes on and on. Drink now through 2018. - H.S.
