Review: The Farmlands White Table Wine is an intriguing blend of Gruner Veltliner (Velt-LEEN-er) and Chardonnay, with hints of Pinot gris and Pinot noir in the mix. The grapes are all from Johan's Estate Vineyard. The scent of the Farmlands White Table Wine is all Gruner - a wonderful example of what makes Gruner Vertliner unique - white pepper, soft citrus, and vanilla. The flavor is dominated by Chardonnay - citrus, stone fruit, and a creamy vanilla. The white blend finishes with a surprisingly rich, viscous finish typical of Gruner Veltliner.
