95 points Wine Advocate: "My favorite in the lineup was the spectacular 2012 Ferguson Reserve, a blend of 61% Cabernet Sauvignon, 27% Merlot, 6% Cabernet Franc and 6% Malbec in 2012, and comes all from basalt soils in the southern part of the appellation. Aged 22 months in 50% new French oak, it offers layers of cassis, currants, lead pencil shavings, toasted bread and spice that flow to a full-bodied, multi-dimensional and concentrated 2012 that has stunning purity of fruit. Like the other two single-vineyard releases, this shows more and more structure with time in the glass, so short-term cellaring is advised. It’s another terrific wine from this team that will have 20-25 years of longevity."- Jeb Dunnuck

19.5+/20 points, Highly Recommended

Rand Sealey's Review of Washington Wines, May 2015

“Marty Clubb introduced this blend of 61% Cabernet Sauvignon, 27% Merlot and 6% each of Cabernet Franc and Malbec at a dinner celebrating the 100th Birthday of the Frenchtown Schoolhouse. It exhibits a semi opaque ruby color and an intense nose of blackberry, cherry, cassis, attar of rose, juniper berry, cigar box, violets and incense. The dark fruit flavors are wrapped around a firm, yet supple core, marked by notes of black licorice, bittersweet chocolate, roasted coffee beans and basaltic minerals. The intensity continues on the back with sensations of macerated berries, roasted nuts, integrated oak, precise fruit acids and firm yet smooth tannins on the lingering finish. With real depth and complexity, this gets 19.5/20 points.” – Rand Sealey
