Le Cadeau Pinot noir Rocheux 07 - Tanzer score 91 points "Bright red. Powerfully scented aromas of black raspberry and cherry compote. Plush red fruit flavors are given a refreshingly bitter edge by candied licorice and cola notes. Very seductive pinot with impressive finishing sweetness, breadth and persistence. The sexiest bottling of this group and already delicious."

2005 Vintage
Made by Chehalem's Harry Pedersen-Nedry for Le Cadeau, The Rocheux cuvee fruit comes from the rocky west side of the vineyard. The 2005 Le Cadeau Rocheux opens with bold aromas of mixed berries-boysenberry, marionberry, raspberry-and light scents of coffee and earth. On the palate, the wine is balanced, focused, and features bright acids and soft silky tannins. The flavors include red and black cherries, Asian spices, and the trademark earthiness from our vineyard site. The '05 Rocheux finishes with a hint of vanilla and some lingering oak which will fully integrate in the months ahead.
