Lemelson Jerome Reserve Pinot noir 06 - Tanzer 92 points "Deep red. Pungent, mineral-driven aromas of dark berries and cherry, with subtle floral and smoke notes adding complexity; reminds me of a wine from Morey-Saint-Denis. Sweet black raspberry and cherry flavors are supple and palate-saturating, picking up a zesty black pepper quality on the back end. Maintains sweetness and power through its long, gently chewy finish. I like this wine's blend of richness and vivacity." The 2006 Jerome shows aromas of sweet black bing cherries and a hint of violets lead to flavors of blackberry, marionberrry, loganberry, black raspberry- lots of subtly shifting flavors of berry fruit, with an undercurrent of sweet spices and a hint of minerality in the tannins.
