Previous Vintage Tasting Notes

2008 Vintage Tasting Notes

Great! An amazing core of cherry fruit and a super lush texture draws you in, while shadings of huckleberry and dark cocoa keep your buds popping. Thea's positively sings on the finish. Outstanding Pinot.

The nose shows red fruit, anise, dried rose, underbrush, iron, gentle spice and smoky notes. The palate is more restrained than the nose suggests. While time in bottle will fatten the mid-palate, today it is vibrant and lithe with raspberry, minerals and citrus zest on the long finish. This should prove to be a beautiful wine when consumed with food. The 2008 Thea's has the character and structure to age for at least 5-7 years.

2006 Vintage Tasting Notes

Tanzer 90 points "Medium red. Smoky red berry and cherry compote aromas are complicated by sassafras and herbal notes, along with a hint of cola. Fleshy and round, offering sweet black raspberry and candied cherry flavors, supple tannins and slow-building spiciness. Clings impressively on the finish and strongly repeats the cherry note."

Lemelson's Thea's Selection is a blend of fruit from Lemelson's six vineyards. The wine is heavily scented and has fresh, sweet fruit flavors.

"Thea's is the measuring stick of our success as growers and vintners. As a blend from blocks in each of our vineyards, it expresses the vintage and our values more than any other wine. The 2006 Thea's is more fragrant than we remember. The nose combines floral aromas of roses and violets with raspberry, framboise, boysenberry and briary, earthy tones. The palate is sweetly fruited with plum, black cherry and blueberry showing on the rich mid-palate, while the finish remains lively and fresh with subtle tarragon and earth." - The Winery
