$26.95 Regular

in any 12 bottle order or Build a Case

A solid value in estate-grown Pinot noir. Red fruit, earth and cinnamon take center stage on an elegant frame.

Previous vintage tasting notes:

Wine Spectator 91 Points Light and fragrant, this is zingy with cherry, cinnamon and cream flavors, lingering gently and with transparency. Drink now through 2018. 378 cases made. - H.S.

Review: My favorite Longplay wine yet, displaying a pretty transparency and silkiness. Vibrant red fruit and hints of coffee and dried thyme saunter out of the glass. This brand-new release benefits from air - a quick decant or 15 minutes in the glass. - Marcus

2009 Vintage Tasting Notes

2009 Wine Spectator 92 points - - Supple, generous and immensely appealing for its ripe blueberry, plum and spice flavors, hinting at mineral as the finish lingers impressively. Drink now through 2019. H.S.

The ripe fruit gives a hint of candied plum in addition to our site's characteristic bright pie cherry flavors. Gingerbread spice and herbes de Provence on the nose and a hint of grip on the finish. Aged in French oak for nine months before bottling on September 15, 2010. - the winery

2008 Vintage Tasting Notes

Wine Spectator calls Longplay a "NEW NAME TO KNOW"

The 2008 vintage, their second, came out pretty groovy, especially for its supple texture and lovely red fruit flavors.

Supple, generous and distinctive for its red cherry, raspberry and white pepper aromas and flavors that swirl together easily as they push through the long, vivid finish. Drink now through 2020. 287 cases made. - H.S.

The ripe fruit gives a hint of bramble and blackberry in addition to our site's signature bright pie cherry flavors. Despite the deep color, the wine is quite delicate. We love the long, fine finish.

Our 2008 Lia's Vineyard Pinot Noir exhibits unmistakable pinot noir characteristics combined with an exuberant edginess that we really appreciate. This bottling highlights fruit from our 115 clone which, despite the late start to the growing season, achieved optimal ripeness in the 2008 vintage. This was partly due to extremely low cropping and partly due to a series of unusually warm and sunny days in October.

The wine reminds of us our favorite jazz: An upbeat tempo, textured high notes, and a rich depth that brings a smile to our face. - the winery
