Review:

Mad Violets Pinot gris is creamy and fresh. A hint of orange blossoms in the nose and lots of white peach, pear, and apple flavors sum up this rich wine. Round and full, it finishes with a swoosh of minerals and citrus. Only 50 cases made.

Made entirely from Kelley and Stirling's own Buttonfield Vineyard fruit. Buttonfield is an old vine block of Rex Hill's famous Jacob-Hart Vineyard.

The minerality comes from the stony soils of Buttonfield vineyard and the round palatte comes from sur lie (or stirring of the lees) during fermentation and ageing.
