Maison Bleue Wines

Maison Bleue Family Winery makes Syrah, Grenache, Marsanne, Roussanne, and Chardonnay in Washington State's Yakima Valley. Maison Bleue recently received a glowing review in Robert Parker's Wine Advocate.

Wine Advocate said - "Maison Bleue Family Winery may be the most compelling new producer uncovered in my 2010 trip to Washington. Former dentist Jon Martinez has become a full-time vigneron; he is the owner and grower of French Creek Vineyard near Prosser and two years ago he purchased 21 acres in Yakima Valley. All of the wines (with one exception) are produced from individual vineyards and the reds are bottled without fining or filtration."

Maison Bleue owner and winemaker Jon Martinez first made wine in the Kansas City area, helping a friend start Amigoni Vineyards, a vineyard and winery dedicated to the growing and production of vinifera varieties. It was during this time that Jon decided to make the transition from Dentist to full-time vigneron. He has completed numerous viticulture and enology courses through Missouri State, U.C. Davis and Virginia Tech University. He is also a graduate of the Washington State University Professional Enology Certificate Program.
