Review:
Waxed black cherry, strawberry leaves and black raspberry combine with sweet fresh herbs, ripe strawberry and black currant. Hints of vanilla and mocha, rhubarb. The palate is lush with flavors of cherry and mocha with subtle texture and refined acids.
2007 Vintage Tasting Notes
Did we say Mark Ryan and Willamette Valley? Indeed. Mark loves Pinot noir, and for a second year sourced grapes from Lachini Vineyard to produce four barrels of 2007 Pinot noir, named Black Love after the Cab/Syrah producer's forbidden love of Pinot. Elegant and restrained, but still with the guts of a Mark Ryan wine, the 07 Black Love offers up pretty black cherries, wild strawberries, and truffles. Extremely limited.
From the gorgeous Lachini Vineyard. The wine is aged with minimal intervention for 10 months. This classic Oregon vintage yielded a fantastic and elegant Pinot Noir flush with deep black cherry, strawberry and earthy flavors. This wine is extremely limited - 100 cases were made.
