Mark Ryan "The Dissident" Red 09

Review:

Black cherry, spice and sweet fresh herbs from the Cabernet Sauvignon. The Merlot and Syrah contribute elements of game meat, licorice, blueberry and leather. Small quantities of Malbec and Petit Verdot and the judicious use of French oak adds a hint of chocolate, vanilla bean and clove.

2007 Vintage Tasting Notes

Mark Ryan "The Dissident" Red Wine 2007 will go on record as one of the best vintages for Washington reds - maybe the best yet! Mark uses "dissident" juice--Cabernet, Merlot, and Syrah from his top vineyard sources--and turns it into one of the best value reds from Washington State. Huge, velvety black and red fruits wash over your palate. An awesome display of rich, juicy, powerful red wine. - Avalon

This delicious blend of Merlot, Syrah, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Petit Verdot comes from one of the best vintages on record in Washington state, and we think this is it’s best incarnation yet. Rich, round and juicy with a velvety full body and a long lasting finish, this wine is made to drink young or will cellar well for years to come. - the winery
