Review:

Deep, crimson color with bold and complex layers on the nose and palate. Sun ripened berries, cacao and brown sugar are wrapped up with dark angelic spices. Open and decant to savor the beauty of Asha now or cellar for years to come! Made from a selection of cuvees from Momtazi Vineyard.

Asha is an ancient Persian word describing one who has a clean conscience for good thoughts, words, and deeds with pure demeanor and performance.

2008 Wine Advocate - 93 points - The late released 2008 Pinot Noir Asha was aged for 22 months in 40% new French oak. It sports an alluring bouquet of exotic spices, violets, sandalwood, black cherry, and black raspberry scents. In the glass it reveals layered, savory fruit, good power in combination with elegance, and a lengthy fruit-filled finish. It will evolve for 3-4 years and drink well through 2023. - Jay Miller
