Medici Pinot noir "Block I,II" 2000
Made by Peter Roseback of Sineann- medium to dark color, subtle nose with hints of red fruit and cocoa, flavors are of red cherry fruit, hints of sweet red raspberry, spice, clean finish, very well integrated tannins and nice balance of acid-fruit-tannin. Lingers pleasantly in the mouth, a wine with no harsh edges, a food wine, a good value and a different style for Peter, whose Sineann Pinots are plush and huge. This wine would be interesting to try in sequence with the 2001 and 2002 vintages. Drink now through 2006. jy
