As of January 2005, at release, it's a bit tight, and will benefit from a few months of cellaring before first drinking. Excellent acid/tannin balance, allowing cellaring for 3-5 years. Hillside Vineyard is one of the Columbia Gorge Appellation's best known vineyards. If you like Sineann and Owen Roe wines, you'll like these wines, made by a friend of Peter and David. The grapes were cold soaked for 5 days to extract intensity and color from the fruit. The cap was hand punched down twice a day during the 11 days of fermentation with a maximum temperature of 90 degrees. The wine was aged in a combination of new and used oak for 11 months.
