O'Shea Scarborough Main Event Cabernet Sauvignon 08

Previous Vintage Tasting Notes

Adrienne put it best when she described "The Main Event" as a textbook, or classic Cabernet, in the best ways. Essence of black berry pie, tobacco, pencil shavings, black plum and cherry are supple and seductive. Sweet cedar plays a role throughout, adding attractive aromas and depth to the finish. A whopping 132 cases made. - Marcus & Adrienne

Made from 96% Cabernet Sauvignon, 2% Petit Verdot, and 2% Merlot, it has the elements of black currants, dark cherries, and hints of minerals in the background. However young it is right now, it will climb out of its pajamas soon, and if can have the courage to allow it to age you will be rewarded…however, with it’s phenomenal taste, structure and balance, it might be difficult to just age. 55% new French oak, aged for 20 months in the barrel. With 130 cases made, this is the largest production O’Shea Scarborough makes. - the winery
