2007 Vintage Tasting Notes

Wow. I almost ran out of space writing notes for this wine. Equal parts Cabernet, Merlot, and Cabernet Franc combine to make the 07 Royale. There are so many flavors packed into the glass. You get an idea from the first whiff and then wham - black plum, cassis, coffee, red and black cherry, a burst of black raspberry and blueberry - all identifiable but melded perfectly. Add lavender, milk chocolate and a brine note, this wine is just getting warmed up. An amazing new blend from our favorite up-and-coming Washington producer.
