SF Chronicle says: "Napa native Travis Scarborough has devised one of the best Washington blends, showing both the fresh tannins of Cabernet from up north with the succulent berry fruit of Merlot. The Royale combines heady jasmine, tea and bayberry accents for a wine that's alluring and just a bit mysterious, with a subtle earthy side."

This is a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Merlot form the Klipsun and Den Hoed Vineyards. Flavors and aromas include black plum, cassis, coffee, red and black cherry, even blueberry and black raspberry. A touch of lavender and milk chocolate round out his expressive offering from Travis and crew.

2007 Vintage Tasting Notes

Wow. I almost ran out of space writing notes for this wine. Equal parts Cabernet, Merlot, and Cabernet Franc combine to make the 07 Royale. There are so many flavors packed into the glass.
