O'Shea Scarborough Proprietor's Cabernet Sauvignon 06

The 06 has a huge core of cassis that's both vibrant and silky. A "slide-into-home" finish shows an elegant structure, while big fruit, dark cocoa, and desert herbs power on. The 06 Proprietor's Cab walks the line between classy and muscular. Made from the fruit of several vineyards (in contrast to their single vineyard "Stand Alone" Cab).

From the winery: Similar style to our ’05, with soft tannins and our signature “restraint,” this wine is now a blend of Lewis, Chandler Reach, Gamache vineyards—and just a tad of our prized Merlot.

All the vineyards were separately vinified and racked into their original barrels—something we do to keep each barrel separate, so we better understand each barrel and how it works with the wine. Blending takes place 6 months before bottling. 50% new oak, 200 cases made.
