| It's summer, the time when you get away from work and head to one of your favorite places.
While it isn't normally considered a vacation destination, a glass or two of great Oregon
Pinot noir is a flavorful adventure, without the jet lag. You don't have to take the Concord,
though. Here is a trio of simply sublime Oregon Pinots that will make you feel like you just
won frequent flier miles.

Hamacher
"H" Pinot noir 06 $18.86/$20.95
A Pinot noir with plush weight and very rich/sweet mid palate made from some of Hamacher's highest level Pinot, including Pinot aged in new oak. The wine was a bit too immediately drinkable to be part of the more structured, later to reach optimum quality stye that typifies Hamacher's first label. It's the only time we can remember that Eric Hamacher has put together such a crowd pleasing Pinot for his "H" value brand.

Pappas
Pinot noir 06 $16.16/$17.95
Yummy, juicy goodness with nice weight on the mid palette and good complexity for the price. Notes of warm barrel spice on the nose give way to bright summer raspberries and cherries. Soft, silky tannins and mellow earthiness make the Pappas a stellar value Pinot. Pappas is the second label of Boedecker Cellars.

Phelps Creek
"Le Petit" Pinot noir 07 $16.16/$17.95
A nouveau style Pinot noir ideal for summer. Delicious aromas of fresh raspberries and hints of smoke. The Le Petit is bright yet creamy, offering brambly red and black fruit that lasts. Perfect for grilled salmon, or sipping on the deck.

Dewey Kelly
Estate Pinot noir Ribbon Ridge Vineyard 06 $19.75/$21.95
An outstanding value from a Ribbon Ridge Estate vineyard, located in one of Oregon's prime growing areas. Lots of hightone, spicy red fruit greets your nose. The flavors develop from bright raspberry and cherry, with darker cherry, plum, and earth nuances fleshing out on the finish. Light and refreshing, with enough zingy red fruit to please your friends.
