Oregon Wine – Up and Down the Valley – 9-20-10

Most weeks, I go to the north end of the Willamette Valley to get wine for our customers. On my pickup run yesterday, here’s what I saw going on. – Jean

At Soter, as at most of the wineries I visited, they were bottling wine to make room for the upcoming harvest. Many wineries have to get their previous vintage bottled and out of the way to free up floor space and equipment..

Skies were grey, and it felt like fall.

I saw ripe grapes, and some not so ripe. Below, Pinot noir grapes with a lot of green.
