One of the best values for the price in 2008 Oregon Pinot noir just got 92 points from Wine Spectator:
Et Fille Pinot Noir Yamhill-Carlton District Kalita Vineyard 2008
92 points | $38 | 206 cases made | Red
Light in texture, intense in flavor, with a candied edge to the raspberry, apricot and orange peel notes that sail through the long and vivid finish. Tannins don’t get in the way. Drink now through 2018.—H.S.
No one can describe Et Fille’s wines more vividly than Jessica Mozeico: “It’s like Robert Downey, Jr.- just when you’re impressed with “Ironman” it pops out with a “Soloist” performance. It is cashmere in a glass- luxurious and lush. It has a nose of blackberry for more than one reason (I dropped my Blackberry into one of the fermenters while hanging upside down over it- true story). The palate contains cola, caramel, and chocolate that extends into the long finish. This would pair wonderfully with dinners of lamb, game, and steak.”
