93 points Tanzer: "Brilliant ruby. Deeply pitched black raspberry and mulberry aromas are complicated by sexy oak spices, anise and fresh flowers. Fleshy dark berry preserve flavors show alluring sweetness, with smoky herb, spicecake and subtle blood orange qualities building with air. Shows excellent clarity on the broad, sweet and persistent finish, which is framed by supple tannins." - Josh Raynolds

The darkest of the 2012's from Owen Roe opens with cola spice-infused black fruits with a ribbon of red fruit woven in. On day two, it really starts strutting, especially on the peacock tail-like finish, a fan of flavors that are broad and creamy. - Marcus

This Lenne Vineyard designate Pinot Noir from Lenne Vineyard is made from just 5 barrels and represents the unique nuances of this Yamhill-Carlton AVA site. Aromas of violet, spiced plum, anise and clove are just the essence of flavors found in the mid-palate. Chocolate mint, spiced cake and cinnamon round out this wine beautifully into a lean, soft finish. - David O'Reilly

2008 Vintage

Seductively ripe dark berries mesh with morel mushroom and lively spiciness. Owen Roe's first Lenne Vineyard designate Pinot noir - only 100 cases made. - Marcus

Planted in 2000 by Steve Lutz, the 20 acre Lenne Vineyard has provided Owen Roe with some of their most complex Pinot Noir fruit. This low vigor site is comprised of soils with excellent drainage which impart intense flavors and deep color. The 2012 vintage yielded wines with rich aromatics, vibrant flavors and beautifully balanced acidity. This wine will improve over a decade with cool cellaring.
