Owen Roe Pinot gris Crawford-Beck 2010
Always a remarkably big example of Oregon's Pinot gris, the 2010 vintage has the ripe fruit and creamy citrus flavors this wine is known for. An intense scent of honeysuckle and orange flowers enhances the pear and white peach flavors. Sweet citrus and a tinge of minerality give contribute a liting uplift on the finish.
Owen Roe Pinot gris Crawford-Beck Vineyard 2010 always sells out immediately. David O'Reilly makes a very small amount of this wine. Don't wait to order.

2007 Vintage Tasting Notes
The Owen Roe Pinot gris is shockingly tropical on the nose given the cooler 2007 vintage. Lush ripe passion fruit and hints of vibrant lime curd make for a mouth filling Pinot Gris. The finish is full of lingering white honeysuckle blossoms and a very slight minerality evoked from the Eola Amity origins of the fruit. This is a stunningly atypical expression of Pinot Gris.
Very limited, less than 100 cases produced. A rich, fragrant wine, all finished in stainless, it is crisp on the finish and Alsatian in style.
This Pinot Gris would pair beautifully with seared scallop, avocado and mango salad.
