It opens slowly on the nose, releasing intense aromas of black currant and ripe plum followed by nuances of raisins, spice, and chocolate. A rich, ample and warm textured wine fills the palate with wonderful sensations of fruit, and with a long lasting finish only a true connoisseur can appreciate. Barbera Armujan wines are usually ruby-red in color. His nose is fresh,with soft scents of ripe plum, sensations that are carried through onto the palate. Lighter styles make a fine accompaniment to pasta and rice dishes. In Piedmont it is the wine par excellence for accompanying Bagna Càuda.
