Review:

I'm not a big "color guy" when it comes to wine, but it's so easy to be captivated by the deep color of Corsini Barbera. That's only the beginning, as intense aromas of violets and mixed black fruits hit you.

Rich, with vibrant acidity, this Barbera works equally well as a sipper and with a variety of meals. We had it with a meaty lasagna. Fermented in stainless steel to preserve the bright, delicious character of Barbera.

Barbera-based wines are usually ruby-red in color, with purplish highlights when young. His nose is fresh, with soft scents of ripe plum, sensations that are carried through onto the palate. Lighter styles make a fine accompaniment to pasta and rice dishes. In Piedmont it is the wine par excellence for accompanying Bagna Càuda. - the winery

2007 Vintage Tasting Notes

This Barbera d’Alba is a deep ruby with violet hues in color. It opens slowly on the nose, releasing intense aromas of black currant and ripe plum followed by nuances of risen, spice and chocolate. A rich, ample and warm textured wine fills the palate with wonderful sensations of fruit, and with an elegant long lasting finish only a true connoisseur can appreciate. A perfect match for Saffron Risotto with Swordfish Balls, Carciofi Ripieni di Carne, Filet Mignon with Figs or with Veal Scaloppine." - Panebianco
