Powell Hill Winery

The Maresh family, owners of the Dundee Hills AVA Maresh Vineyard, have founded their own Powell Hill Winery. Steven Mikami and Martha Maresh, daughter of founder Jim Senior, are joined by their winemaker son, Jim. Jim is best known for his own winery, Arterberry Maresh.

Starting with the 2012 vintage, both wineries' production is located at the Powell Hill Winery facility on the site of the Maresh Vineyard. Powell Hill Road runs through the heart of Oregon's Dundee Hills AVA along the edge of Maresh Vineyard's North Blocks.

Maresh Vineyard, the fifth vineyard planted in the Dundee Hills (1970) is a source of grapes for some of Oregon's highest rated wines. Scott Paul, Winderlea, J. Christopher, and Mad Violets are some of the wineries using Maresh Vineyard fruit. Powell Hill Winery's first release was a 2009 vintage Pinot noir. Both Arterberry Maresh and Powell Hill wines are made by Jim Maresh.
