2010 Wine Advocate - 92 points - The 2010 The Lyricist is Riesling made from 13.3% full botrytis berries and 16.9% partial botrytis berries fermented 30% in neutral oak, 70% in stainless steel. It finished with 12.3% alcohol and 4.89% residual sugar with TA and pH numbers revealing the amazing natural acidity of the vintage. Fragrant minerals, a hint of botrytis, apple, pear, and citrus inform the nose of a steely, Spatlese style of Riesling with vibrant acidity and exceptional concentration. In the glass notes of petrol and tropical fruits emerge for additional complexity. It is likely to evolve for several years and drink well for at least a decade. - Jay Miller
