Result of a Crush

Amanda and Angela Reynvaan Garratt, sisters of famed winemaker Matt Reynvaan, have started their own winery. Matt is their consulting winemaker.

Amanda describes the new winery: "We are Moms and we wanted a new lineup of wines that we would drink everyday. We were visiting our aunt, a school principal, telling her about the project, when she suggested the name. We immediately knew it was just what we wanted."

The Result of a Crush is a wine to take to a bridal or a baby shower. "I (Amanda) have a 9 year old and a six year old, and Angela a new baby and a two year old."

Working from home, they developed the lineup, worked with a designer on the label, and hired brother Matt , best known as winemaker at Reynvaan Family Vineyards.

A new wine, a Rose, has just been bottled, and a second Red blend is complete and soon to be released. The Red wine is mostly Syrah, and all of the fruit is from the Walla Walla Appellation. As they go forward, Amanda and Angela plan to source grapes and wine from appellations in Washington and Oregon.
