It was our fun wine. Around the winery it was known as our breakfast wine. Dramatic floral aromas piqued interest even among the most ardent red wine drinkers. And the first sip uncovered the wine's surprise-it wasn't a sweet wine, with only 1.5% residual sugar. Fans of the 2003 will love the 2004. It has the same floral aromatics, but this year with more peach than apricot. The aromatics are embellished by a silky smooth texture that glides across your palate and holds the flavors throughout the long finish. The frizzante style adds a touch of levity to the wine and keeps you from taking it too seriously.
