River's Edge was the first winery open to the public in a small but growing arm of the western Umpqua Valley appellation. Sitting above the dramatic Umpqua River in the town of Elkton, Vonnie and Mike Landt have crafted from their estate vineyard (planted in the 1970s) a stylish and appealing Pinot noir that can easily hold its head up in the company of the Willamette Valley's better-known Pinot noirs.
