Roots Cherry Grove Pinot noir 09
2008 Vintage Tasting Notes
Like the vineyard name, the Cherry Grove is packed with pints of cherries that have just been made into a tart - it's immediately attractive. Then it fans out on your palate to sweet black currant and pie spice. Like its brothers, the Cherry Grove has a perfect interplay of sweet fruit and acidity, great for your cellar and tasty now. Oh yes, and not to be repetitive, but super-limited in production: 50 cases made.
2007 Vintage Tasting Notes
The name of the vineyard is indicative of the pinot inside the bottle. Full of lush red cherry and slight whiffs of mineral, this pinot is fruit forward and well integrated. Willakenzie based soil type from 777 and Pommard clones create a well rounded pinot. Only 46 cases produced.
