A clever and creative blend of Malbec, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cab Franc, and Syrah. Lively, different, distinct. An indication of things to come as NW wineries expand their palate to include many Rhone and Southern French varietals in their blends. Highly recommended.

Tasted twice by Avalon, the wine is big, with an unusual set of flavors that will delight the adventurous. The 30% Malbec in the blend adds a dense dark textured undercurrent to the layers of berry, spice, pepper, and truffle. The finish is sweet ripe plum and hints of black cherry. The wine is tasting best after at least 1 hour of airing, or decant and wait 20 minutes. Interesting, creative, a fun wine to taste and consider how the layers of flavors rose from the different grape types that were blended together.
