Sagelands Pinot gris 04

Sagelands
A blend of grapes from Southern Oregon and the north Willamette Valley.

With a light straw color, this Pinot Gris displays a bright fruity nose with aromas of lemon zest, green apple and spicy, mineral nuances. The rich, almost mouth-coating palate is layered with fresh-fruit flavors of citrus, pear and melon. Grapefruit and white pepper notes give a twist to the finish. Lively acidity and pleasant fruitiness make it an excellentmatch with food and a great alternative to Chardonnay.

Served chilled, this 2004 Sagelands Pinot Gris is remarkably versatile. The richness of this dry white wine makes it an ideal match for rich, flavorful grilled Columbia River King salmon, or any saut?ed seafood served with a white, creamy sauce. This Pinot Gris also goes well with Asian cuisines, such as sushi and Thai specialties including spicy chicken satay with peanut sauce, Holy basil chicken and green curry dishes. In the summer, sip this wine with seafood skewers grilled on the barbecue, broiled chicken with lemon and herbs or any refreshing and creative salad.
