Saviah Cellars Une Vallee Walla Walla 07 - A heady perfume of vanilla cream, black cherry and blackberry introduces this effusive wine. A worthy followup to the previous vintage Une Vallee, (93 points Wine Spectator), the 2007 offers as much or more to enthuse over.
A delicious black cherry and blackberry compote of flavors is seasoned with notes of blueberry, toasted espresso bean, more vanilla cream, and black plum. Tannins are smooth and well matched to the intensity of the wine. With good acidity in the midst of so much luscious velvety fruit, and tannins with just a touch of grip, the 2007 is well suited to cellaring. We anticipate several years of oh-so-pleasant drinking for this affordable Walla Walla classic.
