This Pinot Gris comes from a site that was remarkably well suited for this varietal in cool vintages such as 2011. A dry site that benefits from warm days, cool nights, and outstanding air flow, the fruit developed slowly over the long cool growing season. This wine is the composition of four separately managed lots: three of which were aged in neutral French oak, utilizing multiple yeast strains, one native, for a complex array of aromatic expressions, textures, and fruit components.
