2010 Vintage Tasting Notes
2010 Tanzer - 92 points - Bright red. Intense, spice-accented aromas of red berries, cola and potpourri, with a hint of blood orange in the background. Lively and precise in the mouth, with focused black raspberry and bitter cherry flavors and a hint of gingerbread. Finishes with intense red fruit character and lingering sweetness. - J.R.
Lia's Vineyard, formerly known as Jacob-Hart, is managed by owner Todd Hansen who give the utmost attention and care to produce grapes of outstanding quality. The winemaker blended this wine from blocks of Wadensvil, Pommard, and Mariafeld to produce a Pinot noir with purity, complexity, and finesse.
Wine Press Northwest (April 2012) - "Excellent. ..The grapes for this wine come from an older vineyard in the Chehalem Mountains near Newberg. It opens with aromas of mint tea, exotic sandalwood, cinnamon powder, orange zest and red currants. On the palate, it's a compelling wine with flavors of blood oranges, cocoa powder, raspberries and cherries, all backed with restrained tannins."
