Shea Wine Cellars Chardonnay 09
Shea Vineyards grows a small amount of Chardonnay all of which goes into their label. Only a small amount of new oak is utilized, 15% in the case of the 2009 Chardonnay Shea Vineyard. It gives up an alluring perfume of toasted nuts, poached pear, apple, and baking spices. Medium to full-bodied on the palate with layered fruit, it displays good volume, excellent balance, savory, dry flavors, and a moderately lengthy finish. Drink it over the next 3-4 years. - Jay Miller
This wine is made from a blend of Dijon Clones 76 and 95. This wine delivers aromatics of pear, floral notes and jasmine with bright acidity and elegant balance on the palate. It is a very food friendly Chardonnay. - the winery
