The 2006 Siduri Muirfield Pinot noir has flavors of red berries, strawberries and floral notes. This is a complex, pretty wine that could easily be mistaken for a Morey St. Denis in a blind tasting. The finish is long and velvety. The 2006 Muirfield is a wine that is rich in texture, but not heavy-handed. It is drinking well now, but should continue to develop layers over the next 2-5 years.

This wine, right out of the gate, lets you know that it is Willamette Valley grown. Earth, Mushrooms and cured meats are the first things that you will notice on the nose. Intense flavors and low alcohol levels. It is rare that the two show up in the same wine, but they were both present in the 2006 vintage in Oregon.
