Siltstone Winery
Siltstone Winery's Siltstone Pinot noir
offers wine lovers a rare opportunity to enjoy Pinot from the very special
Guadalupe Vineyard. The grapes from Guadalupe make big, balanced wines,
full of dark fruit flavors, but well balanced, with layered, intricate
flavors.
Joel and Louise Myers are owners of Siltstone Wines, a small, family run
winery that produced its first
vintage in 2000. Joel began working in vineyards as early as 1968 and is
an experienced vineyard manager
and grower of premium fruit. Since 1984 he has run Vinetenders, a vineyard
management company
that manages approximately 250 acres of exceptional vineyard territory
in North Willamette Valley,
Oregon.

Joel welcomed the opportunity to produce
wine under his own label. All Siltstone Wines are labeled as a
“Vinetenders Selection” which, like a winemakers reserve or
barrel select designation, indicate Joel’s
deep commitment to actively participating in all levels of wine production
from the vineyard to the bottle.
The fruit for Siltstone wines is sourced from the Guadalupe
Vineyard located in Yamhill County. The 40-
acre property is one of the oldest orchard sites in the area. Grapes were
first planted in 1988 and Joel has
been managing the land since the beginning, assisting in the design, planting,
and management. Additionally,
Joel manages vineyards for Domaine Serene, Soter Vineyards, Penner-Ash,
and Two Barns.
Siltstone Wines currently produces the following wines:
