From the winery: "The Yakima Valley has turned out to be an ideal growing site for this great Rhone varietal. The long hours of sunlight followed by cool evenings bring the perfect touch of ripeness and acids to the tiny, dark berries. This wine is firm, with tart, lively structure and tangy currant, plum, raspberry and chocolate flavors underscored by cedar, fresh herb and cracked pepper flavors. Roasted vegetables, duck, couscous with spiced vegetables, T-bone steak, and beef stew or lamb match well with this wine."
