Huge, burly, chocolate cherries and spice. Under the black, black fruit scents, hints of bacon fat, lilac, roasted meat, and graphite. Gushing black cherry, black plum, blackberry jam, and just a hint of savory umame fill the mouth. A very full bodied, black fruit dominated, unusually plush Cabernet Franc. If this is indicative of the 2008 vintage, it's going to be huge.- Jean
