(any 12 or more bottles) Price: $29.95 Sineann Cabernet Sauvignon Columbia Valley 04: Deeply purple with dark raspberry edges, the lusty aromas of cassis and dark cherry mingle with hints of spice and light toasty oak. The racy blackberry, cherry and pomegranate flavors continue in the mouth with a bit of licorice and mocha asserting itself in the back palate. This wine is lithe in body but intense with incredible concentration of flavors. 550 cases were made.
The 2004 Cab blend is a combination of three of Sineann's favorite Columbia Valley vineyards. The Rosa Vineyard near Sunnyside, Washington provides this intense cherry core. Fruit from the McDuffee Vineyard near The Dalles, Oregon provides tannic structure, a dusty finish and a touch leather and coffee notes. The Champoux Vineyard sits in the middle of the 'Horse Heaven Hills' AVA near Prosser, Washington. The grapes for this blend come from Block Three of this world class vineyard and provide a lush fruitiness to the mix.
It seems that Sineann has struck a perfect balance of sweet oak, ripe fruit and soft tannins to make this a terrific example of both Columbia Valley Cabernet Sauvignon and Rosback's blending skills.
Pair this wine with a pepper crusted rib eye steak; prime rib or a highly seasoned pork dish. Not currently available to order. |
