The Pinots have big flavors and full bodies without too much alcohol. They're balanced and fresh, with acidity to allow long-term cellaring. Open a bottle now and it is delicious. Put these in your cellar and they'll be even better in a few years. 2008 is Pinot Perfection.


The 2008 Sineann Pinot noirs are dark, aromatic, packed with fruit and have great natural acidity. Peter Rosback makes Pinot noirs that are full-flavored and approachable upon release.

Like the old Batman cartoons...Ka-Pow! Intense blackberry and raspberry jam gains liveliness from a fresh raspberry streak. This is so much more than a fruit bomb, with nice structure, bramble and mint accents adding to its massive nature.


From 100 year-old vines in the Columbia Valley, this Old Vine Zin drop kicks the competition.


"Our flagship wine. It is the oldest producing vineyard in the Pacific Northwest at nearly 100 years. Every year it makes either the best wine we put out or very close to it." - the winery

Sineann's most famous Pinot noir

Fat and rich from second one. A sweeter overall profile with more glycerin in the texture. Big black fruits, orange oil, vanilla bean, cocoa, morel mushroom, floral accents - the Resonance has it all.


"This vineyard produces our best Pinot Noir - one of Oregon's best Pinot Noirs - every year. The growers, Kevin and Carla Chambers, are fully biodynamic. The fruit off the oldest block of grapes was the best Pinot I've ever tasted off the vine. The wine is incredible: deep color, full, rich taste and a remarkable mouth-filling texture. I like to say our growers achieve the potential of their respective vineyards. Kevin exceeds his." -the winery

Sineann Pinot noir Schindler 08

A darker profile than the others beginning with the nose and leading to the deep flavors of black berry and blueberry syrup, but finishing with great acidity to keep it fresh and balanced. There's a creme brulee note that begins in the aromas and reappears on the finish, with a dollop of Amarena cherry and earth. A gorgeously long finish that is accentuated by fine tannins.


"As we continue forward with the Schindler Vineyard, it is apparent that it has the most consistently Burgundian feel of our wines. Now in year 6 of biodynamic management, it seems to get more like itself every year (if that makes any sense). One fermentation lot was so spectacular we bottled it as a "Reserve"." - the winery

Sineann Pinot noir Schindler Reserve 08

A little more barrel toast and deeper fruit to match it. Black raspberry, cassis and milk chocolate build and add cedary spices and dried herbs on the long finish. Big and burly, like you expect from Peter Rosback.


Peter's first Reserve Pinot noir from the Schindler Vineyard. The Schindler Vineyard is in the Eloa Hills area of Oregon's Willamette Valley and has just recently converted to Biodynamic practices, which are akin to going organic with a bit of witchcraft thrown in for good measure. There are 14 acres of Pinot noir and 6 acres of Chardonnay. The vines are now 14 years old and this is the third year that Sineann has received fruit from this vineyard.

A different animal all together, the Wyeast has a meaty, dusty cherry note in the nose, playing with hints of anise, limestone and higher-toned raspberry. The palate mixes sweet blackberry, earth, and subtle herbs.

Sineann Yates-Conwill Vineyard Pinot noir 08

Yum. A melange of cherries, licorice, minerals and raspberries. The finish reminded us of walking the vineyards right before harvest and munching clusters of grapes.

Sineann Pinot Noir "Oregon" 08

Peter's one blended Pinot noir (made from several different vineyards' fruit). Very impressive and the best value of the bunch. Rich aromas of black cherries, rose petals and cola spice gave way to a lovely array of mixed cherries and herbs. This first of Sineann 08 Pinots we tasted had us saying, um..so this is just the Oregon?

Sineann Pinot noir Pheasant Valley 08

New for Sineann this year, Pheasant Valley is located in the Columbia Gorge and is known for producing rich, full bodied Pinot noirs.


Bright and refreshing with more of a red fruit character. Red berries and cherries seem initially lighter, then gain some heft towards the finish. Bits of graham and baking spice add complexity to the finish. Good value.
