Whoa, this puts the "sweet" in sweet wine. A mere 43% residual sugar, the Late Harvest Gewurztraminer is an incredibly concentrated dessert wine. The color alone will stun you - it looks light a light red wine.

Golden in color with delicious aromas of honey and apple, this Late Harvest Gewurztraminer made in the vin-santo style is rich in the mouth with complex jammy peach marmalade, white peppercorn and nutmeg flavors.

These grapes were harvested at 43% residual sugar, air dried and bottled at a whopping 25% residual sugar make this a lip-smacking honey pot of a dessert wine. Never fear, there's enough acid to make this a well balanced wine considering the high sugar content. Although none of the walnut flavor often associated with a vin santo are present, the labor intensive production techniques borrowed from the Italians make this wine worthy of it's 'Precious' namesake.

Try the "Precious" with a fruit tart spiked with cinnamon, over nectarines and ice cream or with a rich creamy blue cheese or as dessert all by itself.
