2005 VINTAGE TASTING NOTES

Classic gooseberry aromas laced with grapefruit and ever so slight petrol notes. You can smell the richness of this wine as it swirls in your glass. Flavors of lychee nut and apricot linger nicely on the finish. Viscous with a lush mouthfeel - big and full. Fruity, yet not sweet, this wine is very drinkable. Not the tart grassy Sauvignon Blanc you might be used to.

Sauvignon Blanc is a welcome addition back to the Sineann white wine list after a several year hiatus. This wine would go well with melon and prosciutto, a creamy blue cheese salad dressing, shrimp and cream sauce. -ms

Every few years, Peter makes a Sauvignon Blanc from tiny Smith Cerney Vineyard. He manages to combine his trademark "over the top" intensity with true Sauv Blanc varietal character. Very limited.
